Stradivari Violin

Back view, angled

Treble view, angled

This violin was completed in 1999. It is modeled after a Stradivari 1716 violin. I scalloped the flames on the back, as I find that this adds some artistic interest and makes the instrument look less sterile. I have not found that doing this has any impact at all on the sound of the instrument. It has a spirit varnish. Pegs and tailpiece made by Eric Meyer. Price $6,000.
